The Great Reaper from British Steve Grimmett-

Steve Grimmett is a 62-year-old man who lives in Britain. He is a member of the heavy metal band Grim Reaper and is known for his piercing head voice. The Grim Reaper was formed in Worcestershire in 1979, and Grimmett joined in 1982. He replaced Paul De Mercado on vocals.

Steve was the only member in his band who became a constant member during stints together in 1988 and 2006 to the present day. His band released their debut album, See you in Hell, in 1983 via RCA. Soon it reached Number 73 on the US Billboard album chart. After many hurdles and success, he was reunited in 2006 in response to demand for the performance at festivals and tours.

In 2016 they were renamed their band by Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper, and after that, they released their first new studio album in decades, Walking in the Shadows.

He was the lead vocalist of the British heavy metal outfit Grim Reaper. His son Russ Grimmett has announced on Facebook that it is impossible to put my current feelings in words. 

He said that his father was healthy. Rush wrote in his Facebook post that his father passed today, on 15 August 2022, which leaves a great disaster for our family for bearing this harsh truth.

Grimmett was hospitalized in January 2017 due to an aggressive infection on his right leg below the knee. Until his album’s release in February, he remained hospitalized. After that, in April, he started walking again, but this time with a metal prosthetic limb.
